Human Rights Journal
The Global Campus Human Rights Journal (GCHRJ) provides a platform for rigorous scholarly analysis and critical commentary on human rights and democratisation across local, national, regional, and global contexts.
The journal actively encourages multi- and inter-disciplinary perspectives as well as diverse methodological approaches. Additionally, GCHRJ aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders, including academics, human rights activists, NGOs, and civil society organisations.
UN Global Study on
Children Deprived of Liberty
The UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty was led by Independent Expert Manfred Nowak in response to a UN General Assembly resolution.
The Study investigates the conditions under which children are deprived of liberty, focusing on contexts such as juvenile justice, migration, and family detention. It highlights the scale of the issue, inform policy recommendations, and promote alternatives to deprivation of liberty. The collection features toolkits as well as executive summaries in English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Arabic.
European Yearbook on Human Rights 2024
The European Yearbook on Human Rights 2024 features contributions from leading human rights experts and academics (including Global Campus faculty), ensuring the highest quality of research and commentary. It incorporates a wide range of viewpoints, reflecting the multifaceted nature of human rights developments in Europe and provides a platform for urgently needed discussions. As global challenges become increasingly complex, the need for rigorous research and informed dialogue on human rights has never been greater.
Global Campus Awarded Masters’ Theses
The Global Campus Awarded Masters’ Theses are yearly recognised for their academic excellence within the Global Campus network of eight Master’s programes. These theses, selected from a pool of graduate work across the network’s partner universities, address pressing issues in human rights, democracy, and social justice. The collection showcases innovative student research and contributes to advancing knowledge and advocacy in the field of human rights.

The Global Campus Policy Briefs are concise, research-based documents designed to inform and guide policymakers, practitioners, and the public on key human rights and democracy issues. Produced by selected alumni, these briefs synthesize complex topics, offer critical insights, and present actionable recommendations to address pressing challenges. They bridge academic research and practical policy implementation, fostering informed decision-making in the field of human rights.

This collection features diverse reports and publications that document collaborative efforts to advance child rights globally. This includes strategic litigation practices, climate justice, and child protection frameworks, created in partnership with academic and advocacy groups in different regions of the world.
