Governance
As laid out in its Statute, the Global Campus is composed of various organs, including the Assembly, the Council, the President, the Vice-Presidents, the Honorary Presidents, the Secretary General, and a Statutory Auditor. These statutory bodies are assisted by specialised working groups such as the Academic Affairs Committee, the Working Group on Budgetary Issues and the Working Group on Research Projects.
Assembly
The Assembly is the highest governing body of the organisation and generally meets once a year to supervise the implementation of Global Campus policies and provide strategic direction. Currently, it is composed of 80 member universities and institutions of higher education, which are represented by their Rector, Vice-Rector, or by a designated professor, experienced in the field of human rights and democracy.

Supervisory Body
The Supervisory Body, which serves a three-year term and may be re-appointed once, is responsible for monitoring compliance with legal and statutory provisions, principles of good administration, the adequacy of organisational and administrative structures, and bookkeeping practices. In September 2023, the Assembly re-appointed Elisa Mormile as auditor.
Surveillance Body
The Surveillance Body monitors the implementation of the Global Campus’ organisational model, including its obligations under Italian Law 231/2001, the Code of Ethics and Whistleblowing Procedure. The lawyer Luca Andretta fulfils this role for the Global Campus of Human Rights since 2018.
