
Adriano Remiddi is an experienced practitioner in development cooperation for higher education and manages all capacity development projects at the Global Campus.
Adriano is dedicated to promoting democracy and human rights education in post-conflict, developing, and transitional societies, leading the GC Capacity Development programme. Over the course of 15 years working in Southeast Europe and later the Asia-Pacific, he has developed a unique blend of academic and managerial skills, gaining diverse and progressively responsible experience.
In 2019–2022, Adriano led a project to establish the Human Rights Centre at the National University of Timor-Leste before spearheading the creation of the GC Capacity Development programme. Previously, he served as Academic Coordinator of the GC South East Europe/ERMA on behalf of the Institute for Central-Eastern and Balkan Europe/University of Bologna (IECOB). His work also included international lecturing, publishing, organizing scientific conferences, and speaking at various panels and events.
From 2014 to 2020 he served as president of the alumni association of the MA in Eastern European Studies of the University of Bologna.
