Venice Statement: Reconceptualising Exile for Human Rights Defenders at Risk

We, the Global Campus of Human Rights and Right Livelihood, convened members of the global human rights community in Venice on 24 and 25 May 2024 for the fourth annual Conference on the Global State of Human Rights. Among them was a group of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) courageously continuing their important work despite being forced outside of their countries of origin by repressive governments and an increasingly perilous environment.

Call for the first #Sport4HumanRights campaign for the Venice Marathon 2024

The Global Campus of Human Rights, the most extensive human rights education network in the world consisting of about 100 leading universities, is committed to increase awareness of human rights by connecting with the culture of sports initiatives at local and international levels. The Sports Culture through their diverse disciplines with engaged activists are closely related to human rights and to education.
