Jointly organized by the Global Campus of Human Rights and its youngest member, the Moldova State University (MSU), with the support of the European Union, the second edition of the European Cross-Regional Spring School on Climate Justice and Human Rights was successfully ran in Orhei on May 5–11.
On 6 May 2025, on the occasion of a convening of the Global Campus Council, Elena Ippoliti, Coordinator of the Human Rights Education Unit of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, joined us for an exchange on the future of human rights education. The event served as an opportunity to renew our long-standing partnership with the OHCHR across education, research, and engagement with students and young graduates.

Cuadernos Deusto de Derechos Humanos (Deusto University’s Journal of Human Rights), published by the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute at the University of Deusto, has released its 100th issue. EMA elected Chairperson Prof. Thérèse Murphy (Queen’s Belfast University) and EMA Programme Director Dr. Orla Ní Cheallacháin contributed a chapter titled ‘Legal Literacy: A Key Competence in Human Rights Education’.
The Global Campus has successfully completed a number of transformative faculty exchanges across its regional Master’s programs, advancing its mission to strengthen human rights education through shared expertise and pedagogical innovation. This is a vibrant example of our cross-regional collaboration.
The 19th International Architecture Exhibition, titled Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective., curated by Carlo Ratti and organised by La Biennale di Venezia, will open to the public from 10 May to 23 November 2025, 2025, at the Giardini, the Arsenale and at the Forte Marghera. The pre-opening will take place on 8-9 May; the awards ceremony and inauguration will be held on 10 May 2025.
